Following her Supernatural Amphitheatre debut at Golden Plains, Naarm-born, sometimes Aotearoa-based dark pop artist Georgia Knight returns to The Tote for one special night. Joining her on stage is Cloud Ice 9 and DONT, the new musical project from 00_.
It’s been a big twelve months for Georgia. The independent release of her debut album Beanpole ("an evocative set of dimly-lit, hypnotic, psych-tinted pop", says KEXP) was a highly regarded work that led to praise from the likes of Sharon Van Etten, Arab Strap and BBC Radio 6 Music.
Critics have raved about her "shadowy, seductive trip-hop textures" (KCRW), her "extraordinary vocal range [and] graveside poems" (The 13th Floor) and her "goosebumps"-inducing live performances (BBC Radio 6).
In support of the album, Georgia was booked to perform a string of highly coveted shows like The Great Escape Festival (UK), Golden Plains (AU), Phoenix Central Park (AU), The Others Way (NZ), Port Noise (NZ) and more.
