Lincoln Le Fevre & The Insiders Return to The Tote
After 18+ months away from the stage, Lincoln Le Fevre & The Insiders return for a long-awaited headline show at The Tote on Friday April 17th, a night set to bring together some of Naarm/Melbourne’s most emotionally resonant voices in indie rock.
For over a decade, Lincoln Le Fevre has carved out a space where grit meets vulnerability, blending heart on sleeve storytelling with driving, anthemic rock. Often described as sitting somewhere between punk tinged country and raw indie rock, the band’s catalogue, including records like Resonation and Come Undone, has earned them a fiercely loyal following. Their live shows are equal parts catharsis and community: loud choruses, raised voices, and songs that feel like they belong to everyone in the room.
This headline set marks their first show in 18+ months. Joining them are the ever-compelling Jess Locke Band. Known for her introspective, narrative-rich songwriting, Locke’s music moves seamlessly between shimmering indie pop and punchy, guitar-driven rock. Opening the night are Melbourne emo/nu gaze-leaning four-piece Gush. With fuzzy guitars, heavy ’90s alt-rock textures and emotionally charged hooks, Gush represent the rawer edge of the local underground scene.
