Little Faiths album launch with Baker Mellonie & Adams, and The Delvenes

Little Faiths launch their long awaited debut album upstairs at the Tote. Recorded in one day with Finn Keane at Head Gap studios, the album comes from some dark spaces but delivers the songs with a slice of sunshine. What started as late night online collaborations between songwriters Jon Baxter and Douglas Galbraith, built weight as the band (Craig Raits, Red Smith, Rick Swaney) added prime meat to the bones.

Joining us on the night are our good pals:

Baker, Mellonie & Adams are three friends - each significant songwriters in their respective bands (Jeffrey Baker-The Golden Rail, Ben Mellonie-Ten Gallon Head, Mark Adams-Cold Irons Bound) - who’ve decided to collaborate on tunes that suit a more acoustic and 'melancholy' treatment than the louder fare audiences normally expect from them. Each brings songs that reflect their unique individuality, but the bubbling alchemy of their respective styles mixed together makes for a compelling and moving set.

The Delvenes serve up Melbourne-flavoured surf twang with a tasty band-next-door jangle. Sweet songs that are scuffed in all the right places. If you like strummy guitar-driven pop and Go-Betweens-y male and female vocals, slide up the volume and hit the highway. The Delvenes have got your back.
