No strangers to your favourite stages, Absent Lovers are a new Melbourne outfit that sees members of The Unknowns, The Cavemen, Sin City and Fruit Tones join forces to unleash a barrage of brand new rock n roll hits. Listeners will recognise hints of New York proto-punk, late-era British Invasion & 70s power-pop mixed with classic Aussie pub rock.

Matt Green is a songwriter; guitarist; skateboarder and artist that has been a staple of the Melbourne and Geelong music and skate scenes. He grew up alongside and idolising the likes of Geelong bands Bored and Magic Dirt, but a lifetime of music has given him an encyclopedic knowledge of rock and roll and Americana.

Matt has played with and supported everyone imaginable both solo and over 20 years with The Happy Lonesome. Expect the full musical spectrum from his gravelly voice and razor sharp guitar.
