VERONICA AND THE LAKES DEBUT GIG AT THE TOTE WITH VIOLET TENDENCIES AND IMPOSTERING
Introducing Veronica And The Lakes
A 4-piece grunge/alternative punk rock outfit from Naarm (Melbs). Made up from a bunch of neurodiverse, queer and disabled arty music nerds and musicians all meeting through mutual music universities and friends hailing from different musical projects. This project transends from the visionary of frontwoman/lead vocalist Veronica Greene featuring Adam Kritsilidis on guitar, Liam Dwyer on bass and Will Maloney on drums.
With the name being inspired by old Hollywood glam actress Veronica Lake combined with sludgy guitar riffs and punky subject matters and drawing from a range of different musical influences ranging from Hole, No Doubt, Sonic Youth, Silverchair, Placebo, Magic Dirt and many more, it proves that the feeling of alternative culture, grunge and rebellion is still alive and well in Naarm and the rest of the underground world admit all the chaos happening right now.
The band will be playing on Sunday the 13th of December at The Tote in the upstairs band room alongside Violet Tendencies and Impostering.
