MATT MALONE & THE HOLY SPIRITS are bringing their heavy electric blues back to The Tote front bar to launch their new single JEALOUSY on Valentine’s Day ‘26 (Produced by Loki Lockwood, Spooky Records)! They’ll be joined by industrial / psychedelic ensemble THE DEVIL’S MERIDIAN featuring members of legendary punk band - The Stabs, psychedelic noise stalwarts - Paul Kidney Experience amongst others.

MATT MALONE & THE HOLY SPIRITS
Matt Malone is an iconoclastic singer-songwriter from the goldfields of Victoria, Australia. Malone is known for his bold baritone / tenebrous lyricism often compared to Michael Gira, Jim Morrison, Glenn Danzig + Tex Perkins, carving out a cult following through his intense live performances. On stage, Malone has shared the spotlight with revered figures like Kim Salmon (Beasts of Bourbon) + Hugo Race (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds), performing on stages both nationally / abroad including St. Kilda Blues Festival. In 2023, he released the critically-acclaimed For The Term Of My Natural Life (VRS Records) + followed it up with Made In The Image featuring a version of the blues classic I’m Bad Like Jesse James shared / endorsed by the John Lee Hooker estate. He’s joined by rock n’ roll / swing stickman James W. du Plessis (The Sea Birds) on drums, percussion, cowbell + electric blues slide guitarist Ben McIntyre (Break Down Bay). Matt Malone & The Holy Spirits have completed recording with Loki Lockwood (Spooky Records, The Drones, Spencer P. Jones), released the single - Wolfman on Halloween ‘25 and are releasing - Jealousy on Valentine’s Day ‘26! Matt Malone & The Holy Spirits channel their unique blend of apocalyptic blues, death country, + post-punk spiritualism - delivering live performances as much firebrand ritual as rock n’ roll show.
