LINEKRAFT (JP) - LIVE
With a host of seminal releases on Hospital Productions, Tesco Organisation, Old Europa Cafe as well as his own Three Plugs Records imprint, Japan’s Masahiko Okubo – A.K.A Linekraft has cementer himself as one of the most prominent and renowned artists within the modern post-industrial discipline today.
Having taken roots in 2008, the project has seen the completion of twenty full length albums, numerous singles and a consistent body of collaborative output with the likes of Alberich, Prurient, Grim and Government Alpha.
Last year saw Okubo perform at the Nuclear War Now Productions / Hospital Productions Festival in Osaka, a high point in his long and relentless performance schedule. Beyond this, a host of appearances have occurred at major American and European industrial festivals such as Will To Power Electronics, XII Congresso Post Industriale, NYC Hospital Productions Festival and Tower Transmissions.
The Harmony Syndicate in collaboration with Noise Receptor Journal is proud to present Linekraft’s debut Australian performance in an exclusive Melbourne show. Okubo’s live performances are highly dynamic both physically and sonically. Expect a barrage of junk metal percussion, evocative tape samples, cacophonous feedback-on-feedback, all punctuated by Okubo’s imposing, distorted, visceral vocal assertions.
