Inked Factor hail from the infamous Bells Beach/Djarrak, just out of Torquay on Victorias stunning Surf Coast and on Wadawurrung Country, and blend swoonful ocean-tinged themes with stoner rock grooves and a tough layered post-punk edge.. the band was established in 1983 by a then 14yo Red Whyte and a couple of other local high school friends and although the band’s lineup may have changed over the years in one way shape or form Red has stayed at the helm and kept the band’s spirit well and truly alive for over 40 years and now with the addition of Mitch Knapton on bass (ex The Dipsticks and ex Guerrilla Morphine WA) plus Max Stone (Dane Blacklock & the Preacher’s Daughters) on some amazing vocals and the enigmatic Dan De Prada on drums Inked Factor are still going strong and playing heaps of local, regional, metro and interstate shows, so if their ever playing at a venue, festival or doing one of their legendary “Coastal Generator Sessions” be sure you make the effort and go watch this magically eclectic band and they guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
