Since forming in 2021, The Prize has established itself as one of Melbourne's premier rock and roll outfits. Funnelling vocal soaked hooks through a three guitar onslaught and powerful rhythm section, this unique blend of power pop and rock and roll has earned them notice the world over.
With lead vocals primarily shared between drummer Nadine Muller and guitarist Carey Paterson, the five-piece is rounded out with Joseph Imfeld and Austin Haire on guitar, and newcomer Ethan Stahl (formerly of UK band Chubby and the Gang) on bass.

Their debut EP "Wrong Side of Town' sold out on its first day out and has since become a sought after release. They've since put out a 7 inch single "First Sight" on Antifade Records and Drunken Sailor, as well as a split 7 inch with The Unknowns on Bargain Bin records.

As a premium live act with the tunes to back it up, the band has regularly found themselves opening for legendary groups like the Sunnyboys and Pavement. It all culminated in their first international outing in late 2023 supporting King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and the Murlocs on their European and UK tours with a number of headline dates across Europe and the UK to great acclaim.
The Prize will be heading back to Europe and the UK in November this year as main support for The Chats.

Their much anticipated debut album is set to be released in 2025 and the Prize will be celebrating the launch of the album's first single, Had it Made, in anticipation of this release at the Tote on 3 November. Joining them will be Melbourne rockers, Dumb Punts, and new sensations, Gnome.
