Three fiery bands from Melbourne’s underground ask: why the hell do we have a king? Brando Rising is an original high energy rock group from Melbourne, featuring musicians from some of Australia's iconic underground bands — including The Hitmen, New Christs, Screaming Tribesmen and Lime Spiders. Remit are a postpunk/darkwave trio answering turgid questions with tight grooves and punchy riffs. They are hot off the back of some solid gigs across Naarm. The Clags are a postpunk band with a DIY feel delivering punchy sets, a sharp edge with unhinged energy, and fronted by an Irish vocalist to stick it up the king.
