CURLERS! UPSTAIRS @ THE TOTE
The Tote - Upstairs (Collingwood, VIC)
Friday, 18 July 2025 8:00 pm
Hey Curlfriends, come swat the winter blues and get weird with us on Friday 18 July, upstairs at The Tote.
Hosted by Curlers — your local all-female, PMS-fuelled post-punk riot. If the B-52s got side-swiped by Babes in Toyland, you’d be somewhere in the ballpark. Featuring Ella (Rivers of Snakes, Cong Josie), Kat (Sugar Fed Leopards), Emma (Imperial Leather, PBS FM), and Rach (from down at the pub).
Also on the bill:
Captain Beep-Boop — a transistor-based trans sister performing electronic punk through a modified Telstra “Bluephone” payphone. With hits like “Gender identity is a slippery slope, brother – and I’m going skiing,” Beep-boop is heavy on wit and circuitry.
Gold Coast Leathers — beach goths turned laneway lurkers, brewing up scuzzy punk. With songs like “I don’t need a man, I need a knife,” and a line-up featuring Sheena (drums & vocals), Dan (bass), Mike (guitar) and Casper (guitar), they’re lethal and they’re loud.
In other words, a delirious evening of live music awaits. See ya there.
