SCROTAL VICE are scraping their masks off the mantle and are back with a new album (that is, if you can classify 14 minutes of new material as an album) entitled CULTS AND THE FAMILY.

Recorded mainly at THE PET FOOD FACTORY by Jason Whalley with extra bits tacked on in Dongba, Beijing and with art supplied by the one and only Glenno Smith, the ingredients are ripe for the band’s juiciest release to date.

The songs are armed with blast-beats, breakdowns and break-neck rhythmic changes in their signature style that has aged like soft cheese left on the kitchen bench over summer; sure there’s lots of green fluff in the wrong places and the occasional unexpected crunch but amongst the gunk there are plenty of palatable mouthfuls.
