Assteroid ‘Hyundai Excel’ Single Launch, with Hot Dog & The Nation Two

Assteroid are back from the stratosphere to launch their new single, Hyundai Excel! Hyundai Excel is coming-of-age tune about tasting freedom with your first car. Songwriter Penny Walker-Keefe, having actually driven an Excel across the Nullabor plain to Perth, celebrates road trips and friendships with grungy irreverence.
Producer Alex Brittan (Kittling) brought his pop ethos to the studio to give the track a full wax and polish. Hooky, layered guitars and group shouting is topped off with jangly tambourines to deliver an alt-rock anthem with surfy sparkle.
To celebrate the launch, the four-piece takes to the stage at the Tote upstairs, with supports from party pop legends Hot Dog and powerhouse grunge duo The Nation Two. It’ll be a high-energy night not to be missed!
